Diamond Plus Professional Darts Set

The Winmau Diamond Plus Professional Darts Set is a complete steel-tip setup built around the Winmau Diamond Plus, a tournament-specification bristle dartboard made from super-dense sisal. The board mounts inside a two-door veneer-effect cabinet in a black ash finish, with easy-wipe home and away scoring panels on the inside of the doors. Two sets of darts, an official adhesive oche line, chalk and duster, a checkout table and the wall fixings are supplied, so the set covers everything needed to hang a board and start playing.

The Diamond Plus measures 451mm (17.75 inches) across the playing area and is 45mm (1.75 inches) thick, which is the standard bristle board format used in competition. Its sisal is compressed to a high density so the fibres close over the dart hole on removal instead of tearing, which is what keeps the surface playable rather than pitted over time. The board uses Winmau's high-tensile Dynamic Sector Wiring — a thinner, more rigid wire than older round-wire spiders — so more of each bed is scoring surface and fewer darts deflect off the wire itself.

The bullseye is staple-free, removing the fixing that sits at the most-thrown point on the board and causes bounce-outs there, and the number ring lifts off so the board can be rotated periodically to spread wear across all 20 segments rather than concentrating it in the treble 20. The darts supplied have precision-profiled barrels with nylon shafts and Mega Standard flights, a straightforward setup that suits players still working out their preferred weight and grip.
